The Role of the Governors
The Governors have a general responsibility for management of
the school. The Headteacher makes the day to day decisions
about the running of the school and the Governors are
responsible for promoting high standards of achievement,
managing the budget and overseeing the curriculumn.
Governors also deal with policy, formal complaints, personnel,
buildings and disiplinary matters. A full Governing Body meeting
takes place termly and attendance at committee meetings is part
of the role. The Governors do this on a voluntary basis.
